I’m so excited about writing this post today, because it’s all about something I don’t do very often… I’m holding a live event.

It’s called “Dinner With Hans” and it will take place in Sydney this May. I’m inviting along around 200 property investors and experts and we’re all going to enjoy a luxurious cruise around Sydney harbour.

I’m also going to put myself in the hot-seat and take questions from the audience LIVE on the night.

Brent Williams and Dale Beaumont run a wonderful organisation for teenagers called Tomorrow’s Youth where they hold seminars and a 5 day Live In Camp. The 5 day camp is held in January every year and I’ve been a guest speaker there for the last 3 years.

Here are some pictures from the camp and this year there were quite a few attendees from Singapore as well. During an intensive week at the camp, around 30 brave teenagers go firewalking, compete on a high ropes course, build rafts and engage in sports such as netball.

During this camp, Brent and Dale encourage the teens to set goals for the years ahead, overcome some of their negative beliefs and discover important leadership skills in themselves.

I find it a rewarding experience to share my knowledge and experience with such highly motivated and enthusiastic teens, especially when they say things like:

“Hans, your talk was amazing! It taught me so much! I hope I can utilise what I’ve learnt. You’re the best wealth coach ever!” Darren

This was a particularly interesting group of teens who displayed a strong camaraderie amongst each other and played ethically for the whole week despite prompting to “go for the jugular” at various times when they could have set out to ‘pull the rug out’ from their opponents. Good on you guys! I’m proud of you and I wish you well in life.

Tonight I held a FREE teleseminar to answer people’s real estate investing questions.

Some of the many questions I answered included:

• What do you consider to be an ideal investment property in the current economic climate?
• Do you prefer fixed or variable rate loans when financing and why?
• What’s the first key thing you need to do to get the ball rolling with property investing?
• If you can only afford to purchase one property, is it better to purchase an investment property or a home to live in?
• When do you know its time to sell?
• Will climate change affect property sales?
• Should you ever buy property without physically inspecting the property?
• Given the current drought situation, the rise in interest rates and the ageing population, what would you say is the best type of property to invest in right now?

From time to time I will pick some of the questions on this list and answer them on this BLOG. Of course if you were one of the lucky ones to have been on the call tonight, you’ll have these answers and more.

I spoke at the 2nd Wealth Creator Alternate Property Investment Seminar this weekend and it was great to catch up with so many of my successful students at the same time.

It was an enthusiastic crowd and we had a lot of fun.

Some of the speakers presenting other than myself included Michael Yardney, Tony Melville, Peter Comben, Patrick Bright, Chris Lang and Bill Zheng.

Many people commented that it was great to be able to listen to such a good cross-section of speakers on so many different topics.

A few months ago Peter from Wealth Creator magazine asked if I would speak at a series of Alternative Property Investment seminars he was planning to hold.

Well, I said yes and these are the only public seminars I am planning to speak at in 2006.

The time has now come around and I find myself on a plane to Brisbane.

My son Michael took the opportunity to catch up with his father and his youngest sister by flying down from Mackay for the occasion.

The Jakobis never do things by halves and so the two siblings spent Saturday night at the Dixie Chicks concert while I prepared for my seminar presentation the next day.

Wow what a fabulous and content packed weekend! My daughter Stephanie and I just came back from Christopher Howard’s, Breakthrough to Success weekend put on by the wonderful people at Universal Events.

The seminar is based around Neuro-linguistic Programming and we used some actual strategies which we applied to our lives immediately.

About 6 weeks after doing the Breakthrough to Success weekend she also went on to attend the week long Billionaire Boot camp.

She said she gained some wonderful insights and direction for her business life from this programme.

Christopher Howard’s style of presentation is not as hyped as that of Anthony Robbins and it appears he has built upon some of that earlier NLP information.

Chris is without doubt a wonderful presenter and a life changing teacher. Even though I didn’t speak with him personally, I felt like I was connecting with him and his own personal journey as I took part in the Breakthrough to Success weekend.

The weekend is valued at $A895 and Universal Events kindly gave me the opportunity to offer free tickets to my valued customers. Many people took up the invitation to attend the seminars for free in Sydney, Melbourne and Brisbane. Following each seminar, we received emails of gratitude from our students who attended the weekend and reported great results.

When Stephanie and I attended the Sydney seminar, not a single break went by without people coming up and thanking us for sending them an invitation to attend Christopher Howard’s Breakthrough to Success weekend.

I just came back from Dale Beaumont’s Get Published seminar and I must say for anyone wanting to write a book, this was a great experience.

I’ve known Dale for quite a few years and have spoken at some of his seminars. What he’s done in this seminar is to combine all his book publishing knowledge into one easy, step-by-step program.

He also showed how to go beyond publishing just a simple book to publishing a book series.

Dale of course has a lot of credibility in the area since he’s the publisher of the Secrets Exposed Series of books.

He wrote about me in his Secrets Of Property Millionaires Exposed book.

Dale filmed the whole seminar and is producing a wonderful educational package which will be available soon. Stay tuned.

I promised my daughter Stephanie that she would be learning a lot more in our business than she would at university.

When I heard that Brett McFall and Tom Hua were holding an internet marketing seminar in Melbourne, we registered straight away.

Tom and Brett have been holding the World Internet Seminars around the world for several years now and I attended their very first one in Sydney when they first kicked the series off. They’ve come a long way now and regularly have leading internet marketers as presenters at the seminars.

For Stephanie this was her first internet marketing seminar and she was on a steep learning curve.

Daryl and Andrew Grant gave a great presentation on how newbies to the internet can get started with a simple e-book website and earn something like $500 per month.

I suggested that Stephanie invest in their programme and follow the steps to develop her own website.

On the Friday before the Dream Life 2006 internet marketing seminar we met with Steve McKnight in the offices of PropertyInvesting.com

Steve told us that he was writing his latest book called From 0 to 260+ Properties In 7 Years.

I’ve known Steve from before he wrote his first book and he is certainly a very switched on property investor and teacher.

We also met up with Search Engine Optimisation specialist Shaun Stenning and Mobile Phone guru John Bertone.

Dale Beaumont gave an inspiring presentation on his book publishing success and it was a great weekend for learning and networking.
